1. I love the Impressionism used in the first portrait, it’s very beautiful, the vibrancy and less realistic portrait of the second piece, and I’ve always loved realism such as what portrait #3 represents.
2. I really wanted to try something more on the edge of realism with pencil (to the best of my ability) I was going to add water color but I decided to keep it just as a pencil drawing.
3. I had a difficult time with making it look realistic because I’d never draw a realistic portrait before. I watch a few YouTube videos on how to do it, and it helped a lot.
4. I really wanted to make a watercolor painting of myself or add some watercolors but I didn’t want to ruin what I had made already. Plus I’ve never used watercolors so I decided not to. But I think it represents me because it is me! I like how I kept it basic and gave it my all.
5. Yeah it’s a monochromatic drawing in grayscale even though the photograph of me is in color. There is not much additional creativity added to it.
6. Yeah! I wanted to add more and might try a different portrait with watercolors in the future.
7. Its okay for my first time making a realistic portrait. I’m not an artist so I suppose it came out better than expected.
