Art Exhibition Project Reflection

This was a lot of work but I had a lot of fun creating it. Once I knew what theme I wanted (Loneliness) which I came up with from the first art piece in the project, Greer and Robert on the Bed, NYC, it was a breeze. As I was searching for artwork I decided to evolve the theme to encapsulate not only loneliness, but isolation and peaceful solitude, because not all experiences of being alone are negative, sometimes solitude is needed, creating a peaceful calming atmosphere. But I didn't just want to include a sad loneliness, or a peaceful solitude, I also wanted to include abstract art that showed obvious and technical isolation. Not necessarily happy or sad but just a clear separation in the work.

As i continued to find the different pieces to include in my exhibition, I wrote down in my notebook all the information, the description of the work, the elements/principles, and how they intertwined with the analysis and fit in with the theme. After I went through all the artwork, I then moved onto the creation of the PowerPoint, and transcribed all the information and reworded and mixed together the description, elements/principles, and analysis into a few bullet points besides the art work. My process of the project had me do most of the "research" type work initially and then quickly create the slideshow because I had everything I needed in my physical notes.

I loved the new art and artists I've discovered during this project and had fun with my creativity and evolving theme.
